Dear Members of the Symphony League of Beaumont,
I am proud to be serving as the 2022-2023 President of the Symphony League of Beaumont! Having been a member of the League for more than 15 years, I’ve witnessed the amazing women who have held all types of positions from presidents to committee chairs. During this time, I’ve been amazed at the time and effort League members have devoted to our League to make it such a vibrant part of our community and so supportive of our Symphony. We have so many dedicated members; it has been wonderful to work with them and now call them friends. It is my honor to follow in the footsteps of all past presidents and members of the League. As you take time away from your families, volunteering and organizing events, please know that the League appreciates everything you do.
As we begin this new year, I encourage our members to reflect on why we are here:
“The purpose of the Symphony League of Beaumont shall be to support and promote the growth of the Symphony of Southeast Texas and to foster and encourage musical education, participation and appreciation of the membership and the public.”
Please keep this mission statement in mind as you navigate the year. Attend as many concerts as possible and support our talented musicians who play with the Symphony of Southeast Texas. Additionally, there are always volunteer opportunities at these concerts. Grab some friends and make a night of it! We also have fundraisers in the planning, as well as many events that will need volunteers. What a great opportunity we have as members to know that our volunteer work helps keep the Symphony of Southeast Texas alive and here in Beaumont!
As a volunteer organization, the League can’t do all that it does without you. So, thanks to everyone who has taken time away from their personal lives to give to the League. May this year bring you new-found accomplishments and friendships.
Looking forward to working with all of you amazing women!
Sincerely,
Kate Davis, President
Symphony League of Beaumont
